TGSF Receives Claire Skiffington Award

TGSF and the Lou Sullivan Society (formerly FTM International) each received the Claire Skiffington Award from the Transgender Law Center during a ceremony at their five-year anniversary gala.

This was a big night for many deserving people and organizations, andTLC Ally Awards went to Dr. Michael Brownstein, the California Endowment, and the Gay-Straight Alliance Network; the Community Partnership Award went to the Lighthouse Community Center, the TransPowerment Program of the Community Health Partnership, and the TransVision Program of the Tri-City Health Center.

We applaud and congratulate the honorees for their dedication and hard work, and want to extend our thanks to the Transgender Law Center, not only for the award, but for taking on the hard work that they do and doing such a wonderful job. Hurrah!

San Francisco Pride's Community Partner organizations were feted and presented their share of the revenue generated by their efforts at Pride. TGSF netted well over $1,000!

This is a terrific example of Pride's committment to the community and why it's much more than just a street party.
